Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society looking for the UK’s Ultimate Seaview

The Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society, one of the UK’s oldest maritime charities, is marking Seafarers Awareness Week (24 – 30 June) by launching a new national photography competition to find photos which encapsulate the UK’s love and reliance on its coast and seas.

The Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society provides financial support and information to retired seafarers in need.
The competition will be judged by an independent panel that will include marine photographer and TV producer Kate Westaway and the charity’s chief executive, Commodore Malcolm Williams.
Everything from holiday snaps to photographs of ships are welcome if they have been taken in the UK, and the deadline for entry is 5pm on Friday 16th August.

To enter the competition, full terms and conditions and for more information about the work of the Society visit www.shipwreckedmariners.org.uk or the society’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/shipwreckedmariners.
