Nikon 1 J5 announced

A new model for the Nikon 1 range of interchangeable lens compact cameras.

Nikon has announced the launch of the 1 J5 camera, as part of its Nikon 1 range of interchangeable lens compact cameras.

Boasting a back-illuminated, 20.8-megapixel CMOS sensor, the 1 J5 offers an ISO range of 160–12800 with manual and Auto ISO control.

Also included is Nikon’s next-generation image processor, EXPEED 5A, with 20 fps continuous AF and 60 fps with one-time focusing at the start of the burst. A 171-point AF system ensures sharp shots, meanwhile.

4K/15p and full HD 1080/60p movie capture are included for those who want to step beyond stills photography.

A 3-inch, 1037k-dot tiltable LCD touchscreen, Wi-Fi and NFC-functionality are all included.

The Nikon 1 J5 will be available from 30th April 2015 for £349.99 for the body only, £429.99 with the 10-30mm PD zoom lens or £559.99 with the 10-30mm PD zoom lens and the 30-110mm lens.
