Alongside the G1 X Mark II and the EOS 1200D, Canon has announced the PowerShot SX700 HS, which replaces the SX280. Key features include:

• 16.1MP CMOS sensor
• 30x optical zoom (improved from the SX280’s 20x optical zoom)
• Full manual modes on a mode dial found at the back of the camera
• Full HD 60fps movies
• Wi-Fi, NFC and the ability to control the camera using an app
• Creative Shot mode that produces different edits in one click
• DIGIC 6 processor
• At just 34.8mm thin, it’s pocketable despite its large lens, and ZoomPlus digitally extends this to 60x

It will be available from March for SRP £329.
