ProDrone’s first consumer UAV has been previewed at IBC2015.

With a maximum take off up to 3.8kg and folding into a convenient iPad sized package that can be carried in a bag, the BYRD has been tested in a range of tough conditions and environments to ensure reliability and performance.

Both the gimbal and camera options are modular, with choices for the latter including 4K, 1080, infrared and GoPro.

There’s a multi-controller option allows for easy teaching and sharing of a single UAV, screen sharing on up to three devices, follow me technology, advanced interior positioning, HD Transmission and a set of comprehensive safety features.

Expected to be available later in the year, the BYRD will cost $800-3,000, depending on the precise options chosen.
