Hood Adapter for the Sigma APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM, provides effective shading when used with APS-C size digital SLR cameras.

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the APS-C Hood Adapter HA1030-01 for the Sigma APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM.

This hood adapter extends the length of the lens hood and provides more effective shading when used with digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor.

At PMA 2010 in Las Vegas, Sigma announced and exhibited dedicated APS-C Hood Adapters for the APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM and 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM.  After this announcement, many demands have been received for development of a similar APS-C Hood Adapter for the APO 50-500mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM.

As of July 2010, this APS-C Hood Adapter HA1030-01 will be supplied with all APO 50-500mm DG OS HSM lenses.

*When using the APS-C Hood Adapter HA1030-01 with digital cameras with a full frame image sensor, vignetting will occur.  Please remove the hood adapter if you are using full frame cameras.
