Jessops has refurbished its passport photo suites across its stores nationwide. Fuji Finepix S-2000HD cameras will now be used as standard in all stores as well as Fujifilm IP-10 printers to provide high quality I.D and passport compliant images. The IP-10 printers use dye-sublimation and Fujifilm Image Intelligence technology to produce six sharp UK passport size images per customer. Portable blinds are now also used for all passport photo images, featuring the background colour stipulated by the Passport Agency.

A national training programme has been rolled out across Jessops’ network of stores to assist customer service representatives appropriately communicate the new guidelines to members of the public. All staff have received training on the new passport photo regulations and copies of the government guidelines are available at Jessops stores across the UK.

Commenting on the developments, Chris Carr, Head of Photo for Jessops said, “Jessops stores nationwide have undergone an extensive refurbishment to ensure the correct passport photo facilities are made readily available to consumers. The latest changes to passport photo requirements have left many members of the public confused. Had a passport photo done yesterday and was very disappointed, only one photo could be taken and I hated it, he wouldn’t/couldn’t do more to choose from and it cost me £10!! Would not recommend.
