New Pentax and Ricoh products announced
Ricoh Imaging UK has announced a 1.4x Rear Converter and three waterproof cameras
The first new product to be announced is the HD Pentax-DA AF ‘Rear Converter’ 1.4x AW, so called because it’s placed between the camera body and the lens to afford a 1.4x focal length extension.
When the Pentax body being used has the latest firmware onboard, the converter offers full autofocus capability and, as indicated by the AW, the converter is dust-proof and designed for all-weather conditions.
The HD Pentax-DA AF ‘Rear Converter’ 1.4x AW will be available for a price of £379.99 at the end of February.
Also announced are the 16-megapixel Ricoh WG-4 and Ricoh WG-4 GPS, two top quality waterproof digital cameras that can be used at depths of up to 14 metres. They’re also shock resistant for drops of up to two metres and 4x optical zoom coverage.
Both these models will be available in mid-March, with the WG-4 set to cost £279.99 and the WG-4 GPS expected to retail for £329.99. The WG-4 will be available in silver or yellow while the GPS model will be available in black or blue.
Lastly, the 14-megapixel Ricoh WG-20 features a 5x optical zoom lens, -10metres shooting capability, 1.5 metres drop shock resistance and cold resistance down to -10°C.
The WG-20 will be available in black, red or white and priced at £199.99 at the end of February.
